Samantha is a Partner in Minden Gross LLP’s Tax Group. Her practice focuses primarily on corporate international and high net worth tax planning.

Samantha’s clients vary from multi-national corporations to family business owner/managers. As such, her practice is varied to include tax aspects of corporate finance, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, as well as comprehensive business succession planning and international structures.

Clients appreciate Samantha’s ability to set up tax-efficient structures and explain complex issues in everyday terms, all with a holistic view of the client’s particular situation and goals.

Samantha is an accomplished author, having co-authored Tax and Family Business Succession Planning, 3rd ed. Additionally, she is the co-editor of various CCH Canadian Limited publications such as the Canada Income Tax Guide, Wealth Management Guide, and Tax Planning for Small Business Guide. Samantha is a regular contributor to TaxNotes (Wolters Kluwer) and is a Contributing Editor to The TaxLetter (MPL Communications). Samantha is also a frequent lecturer for professional and commercial organizations, businesses, and conferences. 

Samantha is an elected member of Minden Gross LLP’s Executive Committee and a member of the Diversity & Equality Task Force. She was a longstanding member of the Legal Personnel Committee and Student Recruitment Committee, and continues to be a mentor to young up-and-coming lawyers.

Samantha is an active member of Meritas Law Firms Worldwide on behalf of Minden Gross LLP, currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Meritas Executive Committee and Chair of Quality Assurance. She also sits on the Meritas Race & Equality Task Force and the Women’s Leadership Council. She has served on the Meritas Board of Directors, the Member Engagement Committee, and was part of the Leadership Institute.
